The Ryzen 9 7950X release date is September 29, 2022.

AMD plans to launch the 7950X alongside the other three Ryzen 7000 series CPUs September 27, 2022. On the same day, Intel unveils its 13th generation “Raptor Lake” processors.

We don’t think it’s a coincidence, as Intel beat AMD to the position the last time the CPUs were launched.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Price Prediction

According to recent leaks, the Ryzen 9 7950X is expected to cost around US$820. However, these prices are only preliminary, they could very well be subject to change. We hope so because it seems quite expensive.

Pricing was leaked by a Canadian retailer earlier in the week, leaving consumers worried about high Ryzen processor costs this time around. However, this was only a direct conversion from CAD to USD.

Ryzen 9 7950X Specifications

The Ryzen 9 7950X is designed to be hands down the best of the best. The 7950X has a core count of 16 cores and 32 threads, it will also have a high base frequency of 4.5 GHz and a boost clock speed of 5.7 GHz.

The 7950X also has a whopping 170W TDP (65W more than any Zen 3 CPU in the Ryzen 5000 series). As for cache, the Ryzen 9 7950X comes with 80MB total, 64MB of L3 and 16MB of L2 (1MB per core).
